Buhler Industries Enters Deal with Kubota for New Tractor Platform

Manitoba-headquartered Buhler Industries Inc. has entered into an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) agreement with Kubota Corporation to develop a new tractor platform in the mid-range front-wheel assist segment.
Under the terms of the agreement, Buhler Industries will start manufacturing tractors at its factory in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
“This agreement in exciting for both companies. The Versatile (tractor) brand has a global reputation in agriculture for building high horsepower tractors that are reliable and well-built. As Kubota Corporation expands their presence in the farm machinery industry, these brand qualities are in line with their core values,” explained Grant Adolph, chief operating officer at Buhler Industries. “The result of this agreement is an increase in productivity at the factory in Winnipeg which will bring additional stability to the supply chain and employees. Buhler Industries is committed to continuous quality and efficiency improvements,” Adolph went on.
The development of the new tractor platform started nearly five years ago, but according to the press release production is set to begin immediately.
