Elephant Vert Group Acquires the French Group BIO3G

Eléphant Vert (EV) acquires a 100% stake in the French conglomerate BIO3G to use the complementary nature of the businesses to fortify their positions across all markets.
This acquisition has the advantage of leveraging the two groups’ complementary ‘products and geographical locations to boost the companies’ growth. To increase this influence, each entity’s key phrases will continue to be agility and the pursuit of performance.
EV has a solid foothold in Africa through its subsidiaries and has been deploying an ambitious export strategy in other geographies in Europe and the rest of the world for the past two years.
Present in 44 countries, the product portfolio includes no less than 80 active registrations and a human capital of about 400 employees.
BIO3G is dedicated to the development of natural solutions with a 100% direct sales and advice approach in France, Switzerland, Belgium, and Germany. It now has 45 products, six patents, three marketing authorizations, and, above all, 450 women and men committed to a project to develop bio-solutions for agroecology and the health of the planet. Its reputation with end customers is recognized. It will thus be one of the spearheads of this commercial ambition.
The project also includes investments in product development, manufacturing, and IT to develop BIO3G’s growth potential for the benefit of the group.
It is in this spirit that the teams of the two companies have been working together for a few months in order to complete this transaction.
A Common DNA Naturally Conducive to this Acquisition
Similar beliefs and goals underpin the two businesses: promoting a unique line of biostimulants to boost farmers’ incomes, restoring soil quality, and advancing sustainable agriculture globally, among other goals.
In Africa and beyond, EV has established itself as a leader in agricultural biosolutions since 2012. For its part, BIO3G has been developing natural solutions for farms in France and Europe since 1997.
They are also found in human and managerial values: proximity, entrepreneurial spirit, dynamism and creativity, as well as in the strategic axis around R&D and integrated production.
This acquisition is a continuation of a collaboration between the two groups that began in 2018 and, is being carried out at the right time for both people and companies.
“This transition represents a tremendous opportunity for BIO3G to strengthen its position in the biostimulants market and amplify its positive impact on sustainable agriculture. I am confident that Éléphant Vert will continue to uphold BIO3G’s values and ambitions,” Marc Guillermou, Founder and former director of BIO3G, mentioned.
A New Management Committee and a Strengthened Proximity
A new Managing Director has been recruited to succeed Marc Guillermou. Pierre-Gilles Gérard took up his position this summer and also joined the EV Executive Committee in order to strengthen synergies.
An agricultural engineer by training, he has been pursuing a successful career since 1993 punctuated by various experiences in management and business creation in the field of agricultural supplies.
Beyond his technical skills, his ability to mobilize teams and his taste for project management make him a very appropriate successor to Marc Guillermou.
