Potato Processing Industry Custom Built Equipment Company DTS Has Been Acquired by Sticomax
DutchTecSource (DTS), a provider of conventional and custom-built equipment for the potato processing industry, has been acquired by Sticomax, a significant holding company in the food industry and a Belgian machine manufacturer.
DTS is a renowned world leader in screw technology for machines and production lines in the food industry and perfectly complements Sticomax’s current offering. This strategic acquisition places Sticomax alongside the largest global integrators and further expands its offering for machines, structures, and systems for the food industry.
Advanced A-Z Offering for Food Processing
Thanks to its cutting-edge screw technologies and proficiency with thermal processes including blanching, frying, and cooling, DTS has established a solid reputation over the last 30 years. Modern blanchers, coolers, and cookers made by this company are well-known globally and are essential to the processing of many different food products. As a result, the Dutch company’s clientele includes the biggest names in the food industry worldwide, solidifying its status as a top collaborator in the field.
A Global Market Leader
By acquiring DTS, Sticomax can establish itself as one of the biggest integrators in the food sector and greatly broaden its product range and market position. All the group’s businesses, including DTS, maintain their individual identities and operational independence despite the group’s expansion. This guarantees their services’ speed and adaptability. Simultaneously, the companies will engage in extensive knowledge and expertise sharing, resulting in improved and more efficient solutions that directly benefit customers.
“We are delighted to now be part of the Sticomax family. Our shared vision and complementary technologies and market approach provide a solid foundation for further growth and innovation for high-quality solutions to the food industry,” according to the DTS management team. The current management team – Marcel van de Pol, Peter van der Stouwe, and Vincent Wunnink- will continue to lead DTS and report to Lode De Boe, CEO of the Sticomax group.
Strategic Growth Plan
Perfectly aligned with Sticomax’s sustainable growth strategy is the acquisition of DTS. For the Belgian company, this is already their third acquisition in the Netherlands in a short period, having previously acquired ViwateQ, a specialist in hygienic surface treatment technology for stainless steel machinery and structures, and Romonta, a specialist in platforms and conveyor belts for the food industry, two months ago. With DTS on board, Sticomax will have an annual turnover of over EUR60 million and employ close to 200 people.
“This acquisition is an important step in our growth strategy. It underlines our ambition to become a global reference in manufacturing structures and machinery as well as an integrator of production lines for the food industry, offering a wide range of advanced solutions for every stage of food processing. With DTS’ advanced technologies, we can serve our customers even better with innovative, hygienic joining and conveying systems,” Lode De Boe, CEO of Sticomax BV., concluded.
