Tummers and Siemens Join Forces for Innovative Digital Transformation

Tummers Food Processing Solutions has just established a new strategic cooperation with Siemens. This collaboration is a huge step forward in the digital transformation of the potato processing business, demonstrating the company’s continued dedication to innovation, efficiency, and sustainability.
Tummers is well-known for its unique washing, peeling, cutting, and drying technologies, and it has lately increased its product line through the ambitious E2E (Emission to Energy) program. Tummers Connect, a revolutionary platform that makes machine control simpler and more accessible than ever, is now being introduced as a powerful digital layer to the company’s machinery.
Tummers Connect allows users to not only monitor their machines’ operational status via a simple dashboard, but also consult manuals, order spare parts, examine service history, and alter machine settings. This provides the food processing sector with previously unmatched control, flexibility, and convenience.
The partnership with Siemens plays a crucial role in developing this platform. Siemens brings decades of expertise in automation and digital solutions, ensuring the technology is safe, efficient, and future-proof.
“We have found a strong and experienced partner in Siemens. When the opportunity for collaboration arose, we seized it with both hands. Thanks to the existing connections with Neeraj Singh from Tummers and Noorie Ahmed from Siemens, the foundation for this partnership was quickly established,” Lennaert van Dijk, Managing Director of Tummers, mentioned.
The official announcement of the collaboration took place during Anuga FoodTec and after a period of intensive cooperation, the partnership has now been officially confirmed by Lennaert van Dijk and Dirk de Bilde, CEO of Siemens Netherlands N.V., during a visit to Tummers.
Siemens’ CEO calls it a great example of how a company gets started with digitization from a customer-oriented vision.
“Tummers has listened carefully to the wishes of their customers and will also use that vision to innovate digitally in a targeted way. We are proud to be working with Tummers as a partner in this process,” De Bilde added.
The first results of this partnership will be revealed at Interpom, where Tummers and Siemens will jointly present the next phase of Tummers Connect.
“We are proud to welcome Siemens as a partner in this exciting project. Together, we are taking an important step towards a smarter, digital future for the potato processing industry,” van Dijk concluded.
