Interpom 2024: Energizing a Potato Industry in Transition

The premier trade show for the whole potato chain, Interpom, will be held in Belgium at Kortrijk Xpo on November 24, 25, and 26, 2024.
“Having already reached maximum capacity, Interpom is the go-to trade platform for all professionals wishing to follow the latest market trends, price developments, and innovations in the potato sector. For the upcoming event, organizers are once again expecting to welcome more than 20,000 visitors from 50 different countries, which will focus on the theme ‘Energizing a potato industry in transition’,” according to a recent press release.
Interpom Reached Maximum Occupancy, Offering a Place for all Major Brands
The complete potato chain – from production to processing and marketing – is gathered at Interpom, the biggest specialized indoor trade show in Europe. For the whole chain, Interpom offers an unmatched, extensive, and specialized range of goods, equipment, services, and digital technology.
In addition to the many European growers, contractors, processors, packers, buyers, and dealers of fresh and processed potatoes, Interpom draws an increasing number of visitors from other continents. A total of 316 exhibitors hailing from 14 distinct nations have expressed interest in taking part in the event.
Energizing a Potato Industry in Transition
Climate change, tighter regulations, rising disease strain, variable energy prices, and the pressing need to make operations more sustainable pose serious difficulties to the potato industry today. Given the speed at which these changes are occurring, quick adaptation, the introduction of new technologies, and industry investment are required.
The potato industry in Belgium is renowned worldwide for its flexibility, productivity, and foresight. Interpom wants to draw attention to the amazing energy that permeates the industry in 2024. To offer solutions to support a sector that has now entered an accelerated transition phase, Interpom is showcasing a wide range of ideas and advances under the subject ‘Energizing a Potato Industry in Transition,’ including via the ‘Innovation Tour.’
“Cooperation throughout the chain is key to maintaining a resilient potato sector and turning challenges into new opportunities,” Interpom organizers said.
Revamped Seminars: Innovation, Interactivity and Expertise
Knowledge exchange is the focus of all the seminars that are part of the event. Previous editions’ emphasis was on compelling presentations covering a wide range of subjects; this time, the organizers will adopt a new strategy. The organization that represents the Belgian potato trade and processing industry, Belgapom, is in charge of organizing the event and will provide perspectives, ideas, and dialogues through stimulating panel discussions on current topics. Belgapom will use its vast network of professionals in the field, academia, civil society, research, and politics to achieve this goal. Early October will see the program’s announcement on www.interpom.be
