Lille to Host Europatat Congress 2025: Industry Leaders to Address Uncertainty

Europatat, in partnership with French potato trade association Fedepom, has officially opened registration for its 2025 annual congress, which will take place from 11 to 13 June at Hôtel Barrière in Lille, France.
Themed “Potato leaders of the future: deciding under uncertainty”, this year’s congress will focus on how decision-makers in the European potato industry can lead effectively amid increasing geopolitical, environmental, and regulatory complexity. The event is expected to attract a wide range of professionals from across the European potato supply chain, including traders, producers, policymakers, and service providers.
On 11 June, members of Europatat will convene in closed-door sessions to review progress and strategy within the organisation’s five key commissions: seed potatoes, consumption potatoes, sustainability, technical and regulatory issues, and RUCIP.
The programme on 12 June will open with the Europatat General Assembly, followed by a public session featuring keynote speaker Patrick Baudry, former French astronaut, who will deliver an address aimed at inspiring leadership in uncertain times. A panel discussion titled “The French table potato market and its impact on the rest of Europe” will follow, highlighting France’s influence in the broader European potato economy.
Further programme details and speaker announcements will be released in the coming weeks. Participants are encouraged to register early via the official event website: www.europatatcongress2025.com.
The Europatat Congress has become a key event on the calendar for Europe’s potato professionals, providing a platform for strategic dialogue, cross-border collaboration, and industry foresight.
