PotatoEurope Innovation Awards 2021 to Still Take Place Despite Cancelled Event

Due to the importance of innovativeness in the potato industry, the PotatoEurope organization and PotatoWorld magazine deciders agreed that on September 1, a professional jury will award the PotatoEurope Innovation Awards 2021.
“Open to companies that planned to exhibit at PotatoEurope 2021, innovative products and services have the opportunity to win one of three Innovation Awards presented by the professional jury: Gold, Silver or Bronze”, recently announced the organizers.

Potato professionals worldwide now can determine which of these three innovations will receive the Audience Award.
With the event theme “What’s Now, What’s New and What’s the Future”, Potato Europe 2021 promised in early March to provide insight into current developments in the potato industry as well as a look at the future of the sector.
Organized by DLG Benelux, PotatoEurope Netherlands was scheduled to take place at the location of Wageningen University & Research (WUR), Field crops in Lelystad. Fieldwork constitutes a major part of the outdoor exhibition, which also includes trial plots and outdoor exhibition tents.
Due to the current developments in regard to the coronavirus pandemic in the Netherlands and the associated lack of official approval from Dutch authorities to hold the event, PotatoEurope 2021, has been cancelled.
