The countdown for the Europatat Congress 2023

The countdown for the Europatat Congress 2023, which will take place in Gdansk (Poland) on June 6, 2023, has been launched by the Polish Potato Federation and Europatat.
The first-ever Polish edition of Europatat’s annual event will concentrate on the effect of current geopolitics on international agri-food trade as well as the effect of the EU’s Green Deal goals and new consumption trends for the potato sector inside and outside of Europe. The event’s theme is “The Changing Geopolitical Landscape and the Future for Potato Trade.”
Distinguished guests include Tigran Richter, President of Europatat, Tomasz Bienkowski, President of the Polish Potato Federation, and a delegate from the Polish Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development will speak during the Congress’ opening session.
Grzegorz Apanowski, a well-known Top Chef jury member and culinary expert, will deliver a motivational and inspirational keynote speech on how to connect with European consumers and how to transform the perception of a traditional product into a modern and appealing one.
After lunch, a panel discussion featuring Mykola Gordiichuk, vice president of the Ukrainian Potato Growers Association, Geoffroy d’Evry, president of the North European Potato Growers and UNPT, Jörg Renatus, managing director of Europlant International, and Jarosaw Wakowicz, supply chain director at Farm Frites Poland SA, will discuss how the shifting geopolitical landscape is impacting global trade in agricultural products.
