Potato Exports from Bangladesh are on the Rise

Different nations around the world are becoming more and more interested in the potatoes produced in various regions of Bangladesh. The potatoes from Sherpur will now be sold to Sri Lanka, Malaysia, and Russia.
According to the Daily Industry, the Sherpur District Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE) stated that this year’s potato cultivation goal is set at 5,110 hectares. The plantation, however, has been much more than this. 5,222 hectares of land have been used to harvest 88,774 tons of potatoes in the Sadar, Nakla, Nalitabari, Sreebardi, and Jhenaigati upazilas (sub-units of a district).
Dr. Humayun Kabir, a second deputy director of DAE, stated that this year’s potato cultivation goal was set at 5,110 hectares. This objective has, however, been surpassed. Farmers’ training in various methods led to a rise in potato cultivation and production.
