After a six-year hiatus, interpack 2023 will be a crucial test case for determining the state of affairs and future prospects of global producers of packaging machinery.
According to MECS-Ucima Study Center’s new “Cube 2026” forecasting model, the market for packaging machinery will surpass EUR59bn in 2026, growing at an average annual rate of 3.8%, driven by the food and cosmetics industries as well as secondary and end-of-line machinery (particularly wrapping and cartoning machines – cartoners).
With an additional market of more than EUR2.4bn over the next four years, the U.S. will continue to be the most alluring country for makers and exporters of packaging technology. China and Japan will be their closest competitors.
