Flikweert Vision Delivers 300th QualityGrader to Inaugural Customer Quaak Potato

Flikweert Vision has reached a major commercial milestone with the delivery of its 300th QualityGrader optical sorting machine—fittingly to its very first customer, Quaak Potato B.V., based in Scherpenisse, the Netherlands. The delivery underscores the company’s rapid growth since launching its prototype in 2019 and highlights continued trust from early adopters of its technology.
Founded as a family-owned farming business spanning three generations, Quaak Potato cultivates potatoes, onions, and other crops in the Zeeland clay region, with a long-standing focus on delivering top-quality produce. In 2020, Quaak was among the first to commit to Flikweert Vision’s still-nascent QualityGrader platform, acquiring three units shortly after the prototype phase.
The QualityGrader uses advanced optical technology to individually assess the quality of each product with high precision—addressing the need for efficient, automated grading in the fresh produce sector.
Five years later, Flikweert is now supplying two additional units to Quaak Potato, including the landmark 300th machine. “A beautiful milestone, not only for us as a company, but especially because it takes us back to where it all began,” the company stated.
Since its launch, Flikweert Vision has become a recognized player in optical sorting technologies for potatoes and other agricultural products, with installations across Europe. The company credits Quaak Potato’s early support and openness to innovation as pivotal to the QualityGrader’s commercial success.
