Florigo delivers 500th Steam Peeler

Florigo has recently delivered its latest steam peeler technology to a large vegetable processor in France, making it the company’s 500th equipment of this kind to be installed.
The company registered over 300 installations in Europe, and 200 in the rest of the world, of the technology with emphasis on low peeling losses and ultra-low maintenance.

Florigo’s Steam Peelers, formerly known as Komen & Kuin steam peelers, are favourite for many potato and vegetable processors because of the low peel-loss and low maintenance costs. Florigo’s steam peelers are used by large French fries processors, but also processors of (baby) carrots, parsnip, beets, cassava, etcetera.
The model SSC-700 has a volume of 700 l and is capable of peeling 16 t/hr of potatoes and 13 t/hr of carrots. Other volumes covered are 330, 550, 900, 1,000, 1,250 and 1,400 litres.
