Haith Targets European Growth with Updated Rota-Tip TE

Haith, the UK-based manufacturer of vegetable handling equipment, will unveil the 2026 version of its Rota-Tip TE box tippler at PotatoEurope in Lelystad on 3–4 September. The launch will be supported by SWP Machinery, one of Haith’s European representatives, with demonstrations taking place on stand VD10.
The 2026 Rota-Tip TE has been adapted for the European market, where narrower boxes are commonly used. The updated design also improves transport and installation, with the unit now fitting onto a standard HGV trailer and incorporating fork-lifting pockets.
Among the new features is a redesigned discharge elevator, which can be specified with rubber, PVG or PVC belts depending on the working environment. Oversize external bearings and an energy-efficient SEW drive with anti-rollback technology have also been added. Haith has placed emphasis on ease of cleaning and maintenance, while fixed guards and safety beams are intended to simplify installation.
First introduced in 2011, the Rota-Tip has been recognised with the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in Innovation and is widely used across the UK supply chain. Its design rotates boxes around a central pivot to reduce wear on both the machine and the container. Unlike hydraulic tippers, it operates without oil, reducing the risk of contamination, and its motors are engaged only during the tipping sequence to minimise energy consumption.
“Potato Europe is one of the highlights of our year and we’re looking forward to teaming up with SWP Machinery, to introduce visitors to our latest box tippler and talk to them about their needs and how our expansive range of vegetable handling solutions can help them,” said Duane Hill, Haith’s managing director.
He added: “We believe that approximately 95% of the potato suppliers to UK supermarkets use a Rota-Tip, which means our machines are handling the vast majority of potatoes sold in Britain. We would like to achieve a similar presence in Europe. By taking into account the narrower boxes used on the continent, making the 2026 Rota Tip TE the most portable and easy-to-install box tippler in our range, we’re confident that the machine will be very popular in Europe.”
Haith will be exhibiting at stand VD10 during PotatoEurope, 3–4 September, and further details on its range of vegetable handling systems are available at www.haith.co.uk
