Montech Introduces Redesigned Drive Units for TB40 Belt Conveyors

Montech has introduced a targeted redesign of its TB40 belt conveyor drive units, broadening speed ranges, increasing flexibility, and optimizing safety.
The technology company, which has specialized in conveyor systems and aluminum framing solutions for more than six decades, said the redesign focuses on both performance and protection. A key change is the new angled motor connection, which now sits at 90 degrees. This orientation reduces exposure to collisions while allowing the cable outlet to be adjusted in 90-degree increments. Customers can select their preferred orientation during online configuration or adjust it later with minimal effort.
Montech has also expanded the TB40 drive portfolio with a third gearbox version designed for lighter loads at higher speeds. The new option enables conveying speeds of 32.8 to 147.6 ft/min for loads up to 110 lbs. It complements the two existing versions, one configured for loads up to 176 lbs at 3.3 to 109.9 ft/min, and another for heavier loads up to 441 lbs at 0.82 to 39.4 ft/min.
With these changes, Montech said the TB40 conveyor line now offers a more versatile solution, meeting a wider range of operational requirements while enhancing safety and efficiency.
