Bangers Energy Chips Launch in U.S. with 200mg of Caffeine per Bag

Bangers Snacks, Inc. has announced the nationwide launch of its caffeinated potato chips, landing in more than 1,100 ExtraMile Convenience Stores at select Chevron and Jacksons Food Stores this week and throughout the summer.
Each 2.5-ounce bag of Bangers Energy Chips contains 200 mg of caffeine—roughly equivalent to two cups of coffee—and comes in two flavors: Smoky BBQ and Sweet Paradise. Priced at approximately $3.49, the chips include a prominent caffeine warning label similar to those found on energy drinks, cautioning they are not suitable for children, pregnant women, or individuals sensitive to caffeine.
“We didn’t want to be just another chip on the shelf,” said Phillip Tran, CEO and founder of Bangers Snacks. “We built Bangers for the students pulling all-nighters, the gamers grinding late, and the hustlers who’d rather snack than sip.”
Tran first conceived the idea as a Stanford University student balancing energy drinks and salty snacks during late-night study sessions. Now, Bangers Snacks is betting on solid energy products as the next wave of functional food innovation. Early pilot store sales reportedly sold out within hours, and the company is planning further retail expansion and additional flavors later this summer.
To appeal to Gen Z consumers, Bangers has taken its brand into the virtual world, deploying branded vending machines and billboards in more than 150 Roblox games. With over six billion total visits and 250 million monthly active users on the platform, players can interact with Bangers chips in races, grocery runs, and snack-themed digital parks.
“We’re not just a food brand,” Tran added. “We’re building something that lives in real life and digital life. You snack in real life, and now you see Bangers in your favorite games too.”
