“Move Over Maris, There’s a New King in town!”

With Great British Chefs, Golden Kings has introduced a “Move over Maris” campaign to spread the word about accepting more recent, delicious, high-performing, and climate-friendly cultivars.
Consumers are being urged to upgrade to newer varieties because they offer higher yields, more uniformity, and less need for chemicals for pest control and irrigation.
To create some creative and traditional British meals, Great British Chefs and a number of influencers will be experimenting with new types during the campaign.

The need for new varieties and innovation within the potato industry is ever more important and that’s why we’re excited to encourage the nation to try some other equally versatile potatoes, including our very own Golden Kings. Golden Kings offer shoppers an intensely buttery (read: utterly delicious) flavor, with a golden yellow color, consistent size, and easy-to-peel shape. It’s time to rethink potatoes,” the company’s representatives wrote on its social media accounts.
