PEI Potato Board Unveils Vignette Series that Explains Potato Farming

The PEI Potato Board is rolling out a series of short videos designed to offer people information regarding where Island potatoes come from, reports the CBC.
The seven vignettes are a spin-off of an advertising campaign the board launched in 2017, with the tagline: It takes an Island.
Mark Phillips, marketing specialist with the board, who was cited by the report, said the video series is aimed at consumers.
“They are more interested than ever in where their food comes from, the process behind getting PEI potatoes to your plate. Since there’s a lot of misinformation out there, so these videos show some facts about potato production on PEI,” explained Phillips.
One of the themes of the vignettes is the uniqueness of PEI potatoes, which is part of the branding that the board is trying to reinforce.
The vignettes on planting and harvesting have been already posted and are available, with plans to roll out the rest over the next season.
