Six Stages, One Agenda: Fruit Logistica 2026 Focuses On The Future Of Fresh Produce

From 4 to 6 February 2026, Berlin will once again host the international fresh produce sector as Fruit Logistica returns with an expanded and highly international stage programme. Alongside its exhibition floor, the event will place strong emphasis on knowledge sharing, strategic debate and forward-looking innovation across the global fruit and vegetable supply chain.
At the heart of the programme are six specialist forums designed to act as both a trend barometer and a practical knowledge platform. Around 200 speakers from industry, research and applied practice are scheduled to take part, with all sessions simultaneously translated into German, English, Spanish, French and Italian, underlining the show’s global orientation.
The Insights Stage in Hall 21 will address the big-picture forces shaping international fresh produce markets. Analysts, market researchers and senior industry representatives will present data-driven assessments of consumption patterns, price dynamics and trade flows heading into 2026. Sessions will also examine the resilience of global supply chains and the growing influence of geopolitical developments on international fruit trade, offering context for decision-makers navigating an increasingly complex operating environment.
In Hall 3.1, the Farming Forward Stage will focus on how innovation moves from research into real-world agricultural practice. Start-ups and technology providers will showcase digital tools and smart farming solutions, including sensor-based systems and robotics. Controlled environment agriculture will feature prominently, with the CEA Alliance highlighting weather-independent and resource-efficient production models. The programme will conclude with the Frutic Science Symposium, where international researchers will discuss production efficiency, digitalisation and sustainability from a scientific perspective.
A more holistic view of the value chain will be presented at the Fresh Produce Forum in Hall 23. Here, discussions will bring together perspectives from production, trade, marketing and research. Topics will range from innovative distribution concepts and sustainable packaging solutions to opportunities in international markets. The emphasis will be on practical takeaways, with panel sessions designed to generate concrete ideas for producers, traders and service providers operating across different segments of the sector.
The Future Lab in Hall 6.1 will provide a window into what tomorrow’s fruit trade could look like. Start-ups, researchers and industry experts will present pilot projects, automation concepts and AI-based applications that are already moving beyond the experimental phase. The focus will be on solutions that support greater efficiency, sustainability and digital connectivity, reflecting the industry’s push to modernise operations while maintaining product quality and safety.
Logistics, a critical pillar of the fresh produce business, will take centre stage at the Logistics Hub in Hall 26. Experts in transport, refrigeration and supply chain management will share best practices and technological innovations aimed at improving the speed, reliability and sustainability of fresh produce transport. Cold chain optimisation, intermodal transport and modern port logistics will be among the key themes, addressing the challenge of moving perishable goods in a cost-effective and climate-conscious way.
Building on its debut in 2025, the Podcast Studio will also return in 2026. Located in Hall 11.2, it will host live recordings featuring industry experts discussing current topics, innovation trends and personal insights. Ten podcast episodes will be produced during the event and released monthly throughout the year on major streaming platforms, extending the reach of Fruit Logistica’s content well beyond the three days in Berlin.
With this comprehensive forum and stage programme, Fruit Logistica 2026 is positioning itself not only as a marketplace, but as a year-defining knowledge hub for the fresh produce industry. By combining market intelligence, applied innovation and strategic discussion, the organisers aim to support professionals who want to actively shape the sector’s future rather than simply respond to change.
Organised by Messe Berlin, Fruit Logistica covers the entire fresh produce supply chain from producer to consumer. At the 2025 edition, more than 2,600 exhibitors from over 90 countries took part, attracting 67,000 trade visitors and buyers from 151 countries. The 2026 event in Berlin will once again serve as a focal point within the wider Fruit Logistica network, which includes Asia Fruit Logistica, regional meet-ups and Fruitnet congresses held throughout the year.
