What’s New At FRUIT LOGISTICA 2026: AI, Start-Ups And Fresh Innovation Formats

As FRUIT LOGISTICA opens its doors in Berlin from 4 to 6 February 2026, this year’s edition places a noticeably stronger emphasis on artificial intelligence, automation and applied innovation across the fresh produce value chain.
One of the most visible additions for 2026 is the launch of the New Product Showcases, a new central innovation format located in Hall 6.2a. Eleven selected product innovations from across the FRUIT LOGISTICA segments will be presented on a single stage, designed to give maximum visibility to new developments ranging from variety concepts and greenhouse technologies to substrates and recyclable packaging.
Innovation remains a core pillar of the event, with the 20th edition of the FRUIT LOGISTICA Innovation Awards (FLIA) marking two decades of recognising technologies and products that deliver measurable improvements in efficiency, sustainability and competitiveness. Voting will again take place on site, alongside guided FLIA Technology Tours offering visitors a structured way to explore nominated solutions.
Artificial intelligence and automation are expected to be among the most discussed topics across the exhibition and conference programme. These themes are also central to the FRUIT LOGISTICA Trend Report 2026, titled “Ctrl + Alt + Refresh”, which examines how AI-driven tools are already reshaping production planning, quality control, logistics and commercial decision-making. The report underlines how digitalisation is shifting from pilot projects to everyday operational use across global supply chains.
Start-ups continue to gain prominence through Startup World, where young companies will present solutions addressing automated inspection, disease detection, robotics and new packaging materials. Pitch sessions are designed to connect start-ups directly with decision-makers from production, retail and logistics.
Knowledge exchange remains a key part of the show, with around 200 speakers scheduled across six stages. Topics include global market dynamics, digital supply chains, sustainable production systems and smart logistics, supported by best-practice case examples. The Logistics Hub will again focus on market strategies, data-driven logistics and future-ready supply chain models.
With Asian exhibitors consolidated into their new home in Halls 7.2a, 7.2b and 7.2c, and a packed programme of forums, innovation formats and networking events, FRUIT LOGISTICA 2026 enters this year’s edition with a clear focus on applied technology and practical solutions for a sector under continued pressure from cost volatility, climate challenges and shifting market demands.
