Branston, one of the UK’s largest potato suppliers, has appointed a new head of category to further support the company’s growth.

Penny Francis, who will be based at the company’s Lincoln site, joins Branston from national food producer 2 Sisters, where she worked as a senior category manager working with brands including Aldi and Marks and Spencer.

Francis said: “What really attracted me to the company is that it is completely aligned with its business partners whilst always ensuring that consumers come first in the overall business strategy.
