Flo-Mech Expands Customer Testing Capabilities With New Processing Technology Hub

Flo-Mech Ltd has opened a new demonstration facility designed to give customers direct access to a broad range of food processing technologies supplied through the company’s international network of partners. According to the company, the purpose-built space will function as a centre for equipment testing, development work, and product trials.
The site currently hosts several high-performance units. These include the Alexandersolia GmbH G450, a high-capacity machine equipped with interchangeable components for slicing, grating, shredding and purée production. The company has also installed Provisur Technologies’ Hoegger PS2000, described as an industry benchmark for mashed potato manufacturing and widely used for fruit and vegetable purées. A Modern Process Equipment (MPE) Chain-Vey tubular drag conveying system is also in operation, providing gentle transfer of products such as snacks, pet food and cereals.
Flo-Mech says the facility will continue to grow, with plans to introduce additional systems from its own portfolio as well as further partner technologies. Among the upcoming additions is the company’s newly developed on-demand slurry flavouring system for controlled mixing of powder and oil in snack applications.
Customers can book trials at the new demonstration site or request on-site testing, as all units have been designed for mobility and can be transported directly to production locations.
