World Potato Congress Welcomes New Director
World Potato Congress Inc. has a new director in the person of Greg Donald who recently joined the Board of Directors. The announcement was made by the organization’s president Romain Cools.
Donald has been the general manager of the PEI Potato Board since 2009. The board represents potato producers working together to ensure long term profitability and sustainability through marketing, advocating, negotiation and activities that support quality potato production.
Donald has a BSc. Degree of Agriculture with a major in plant protection from the Dalhousie University. He also attended the University of New Brunswick and obtained a Master’s degree in Business Administration.
He brings over 25 years of experience in the potato industry, including five years with McCain Foods in New Brunswick in the area of agronomy, potato production, potato procurement, and greenfield management. He spent more than 14 years in progressively responsible management positions in the agricultural crop input business in Atlantic Canada and Maine with the Cavendish Group.
