The FRUIT LOGISTICA Innovation Award (FLIA) celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, continuing its legacy as a global benchmark for innovation in the fresh produce industry. The award honors breakthrough products and technologies that have shaped the sector, and coincides with FRUIT LOGISTICA 2026, scheduled for 4–6 February in Berlin.

To give more companies the opportunity to participate, the organizers have extended the application deadline to 7 November 2025. Participation remains free of charge.

Two Categories Highlight Product and Technology Leadership

The FRUIT LOGISTICA Innovation Award is presented in two distinct categories:

• FLIA Fresh Produce, for innovative products in the field of fresh fruit and vegetables.

• FLIA Technology, for technical solutions that advance efficiency, quality, and sustainability across the supply chain.

An international jury of experts will nominate five innovations in each category. The ten shortlisted entries will be displayed in dedicated areas at FRUIT LOGISTICA 2026, where trade visitors will vote live to determine the winners.

In 2025, Amfresh’s Onix Orange received the FLIA Fresh Produce Award, while Fermata Technology’s Croptimus™ image analysis platform won in the Technology category.

Global Platform for Innovation

Described by Stein as “a launchpad for global success,” the FLIA has helped numerous innovations gain worldwide traction since its inception in 2006. The award is one of the highlights of FRUIT LOGISTICA, the world’s leading trade fair for the fresh produce business.

At the 2025 edition, the event attracted over 2,600 exhibitors from more than 90 countries and 67,000 trade visitors from 151 nations. The upcoming 2026 edition will once again provide a platform for companies across the value chain—from producers and processors to packaging and logistics specialists—to showcase cutting-edge advancements.

Eligible participants for the 2026 award include all exhibitors and co-exhibitors who have introduced a market-ready innovation between 1 November 2024 and 31 October 2025. Application details are available at fruitlogistica.com/en/exhibit/open-calls/application-flia
