Potato Europe: 22 Hectares for Almost 30 Dynamic Projects

Dynamic demonstrations are the cornerstone of Potato Europe and are set to play an even more important role this year.
They will now take place on 22 irrigated hectares of the Daisy potato variety, with three main sections: – harvesting, receiving/storage with specific additions to optical sorting.
A total of 29 demonstrations were confirmed: 13 harvesters (AVR, Dewulf, Grimme, Pouchain, Ropa, and Agripoppe), five reception and sorting lines (Downs, Eurodirect, Dewulf, Grimme, and AVR). Two weeding machines (AVR and Grimme), six machines for mechanical destruction of haORDs (Agronomic, Eurodirect, Grimme, Nucrop, Ropa, Vegniek), and three specific optical sorting zones for washed and non-washed potatoes (Hexa-Pac, Raytec Vision and Visar Sorting).
Increasing the harvest area naturally maximizes the possibilities for observation and appreciation of demonstrations by visitors, giving them more time to make comparisons and allowing them to choose their future investments. The harvesting demonstrations will be divided into three groups, allowing visitors to focus their attention on their area of interest.
Group One will present four-row grubbers. Group Two is mainly devoted to two-row tow machines. Finally, Group Three will have more diversified models (two-row and hopper-gancing, towed or self-propelled models).
