FF Goose & Sons Potato Producers Received Their New Haith Supa Fill 600 PRO XL
Recently, Haith shipped out their first Supa Fill 600 PRO XL. To replace a 2014 Haith box filler, FF Goose & Sons in south Lincolnshire received the newest Haith box filler in August.
Utilizing one fewer drop point and eliminating the requirement for a cross conveyor, the Supa Fill 600 PRO XL is made to fit over the end of a 2400-wide (eight-foot) grader.
“The Supa Fill 600 PRO XL offers several innovative features, including a patented three-variable speed belt system for gentle crop transition. Haith has also replaced the shaft-mounted motor gearbox units with powered drum motors, and a positive drive rack and pinion arrangement has been used instead of the traditional chain and sprocket transmission. The result of these innovations is a box filler that can handle up to 60 boxes per hour, which is achieved as one box filling conveyor can be lowered into position while the opposite side is filling. Single belt machines cannot deliver this,” according to a press release.
Haith developed the XL version of the Supa Fill 600 PRO at the request of David Goose when he was visiting the company’s factory searching for a well-built, suitably wide box filler with high capacity.
“When I saw Haith’s new box filler being built, I was so impressed that I asked Duane if he had plans to develop an even larger version. I was pleased when Haith took on the challenge; the result is a fantastic machine,” David Goose declared.
Potatoes are one of the key crops that David produces in collaboration with his wife Julia and kids Holly and Nenah.
“Every box is perfectly filled and we haven’t seen any damage even on our most delicate potato crops,” Holly Goose added, both Holly and Nenah having been impressed with the Supa Fill 600 PRO XL.
“We are extremely proud of the new box filler, which is a modern-day version of the original 1995 Supa-fil 600. If our new model is as popular as its predecessor over the next 30 years, we will be very happy. We are fortunate to have customers like F F Goose who trust us to design and supply their vegetable handling kit across multiple generations,” Duane Hill, Haith’s managing director, concluded.
