‘Unexpect the Expected’ With the Launch of a New Potato Brand Designed to Get Noticed

One of the top potato producers in the UK, Branston, created the innovative new potato brand Nanna Tate.
Nanna Tate draws on Branston’s more than 50 years of potato experience by focusing on re-creating the nostalgia inspired by the best potato meals. It adds a contemporary touch while leveraging the British people’s unwavering passion for the humble spud.
Nanna Tate’s range of fresh potatoes will be available from Tesco stores across the UK and Northern Ireland from December 30th, 2024.
This will be followed by a roll-out of the Nanna Tate prepared potato range in February 2025. Nanna Tate ready-to-cook dishes are designed to take the faff out of potato prep and promise to deliver excellent results every time, so customers can enjoy freshly cooked roast potatoes, chips, or mash no matter how hectic their schedule is.
Nanna Tate potatoes have been carefully selected to create the creamiest mash, fluffiest roasties, and crispiest chips every time, helping to add some pizzazz to the plates of potato lovers. The bold packaging is designed to be eye-catching in the potato fixture, supported by thumb-stopping online content to offer inspiration.
“Christmas is traditionally a time when people rediscover their love for potatoes – especially roasties – so we hope that launching Nanna Tate straight after will keep that passion alive well after the festive season. Our distinctively different prepared potato products will be hot on their heels. Nanna Tate is unapologetically bold and sassy and will challenge the norm, encouraging people to re-think their assumptions when it comes to potatoes. So get ready to ‘unexpect the expected’ as our Nanna Tate products hit the shelves. Nanna Tate aims to inspire modern mealtimes, bringing people together around the table to make new happy memories. So that’s where our potato expertise comes in – making potatoes the star of the show so people can enjoy those moments in the here and now,” Lucia Washbrook, sales & marketing director at Nanna Tate, concluded.
