Heat And Control Focuses On Seasoning Accuracy And Water Efficiency At Interpack 2026

Heat and Control will use Interpack 2026 in Düsseldorf to present a range of processing and packaging technologies aimed at helping food manufacturers address rising energy and water costs while maintaining throughput and product quality.
At the global trade fair, the company will showcase newly introduced and recently launched solutions spanning processing, conveying, seasoning, weighing, packaging and inspection. The portfolio is designed to support manufacturers facing increasing operational pressure, particularly in applications such as French fries, potato co-products, snack foods and prepared meals.
Seasoning Accuracy At High Line Speeds
One of the central launches at the show will be the FastBack Symphony On-Machine Seasoning System (OMS), a technology developed to simplify seasoning processes and improve accuracy in high-speed production environments.
According to Heat and Control, the system addresses persistent challenges in snack production, including airborne seasoning, inconsistent product coverage and sanitation requirements.
“Seasoning is one of the most critical and challenging stages in snack production,” said Blake Svejkovsky, General Manager, Product Handling Systems at Heat and Control. “With Symphony OMS, we set out to address the real-world issues processors face every day, including airborne seasoning, inconsistent coverage and sanitation demands. This is the most accurate on-machine seasoning system we’ve ever developed, and it is engineered to perform at higher line speeds and application rates.”
Focus On Water Efficiency In Processing
Heat and Control will also present its Cascade Water Recirculation Systems, technologies developed to help food processors reduce freshwater consumption while maintaining sanitation and process performance.
The systems are designed to treat and reuse water within processing operations, addressing increasing pressure on manufacturers to operate more sustainably.
“Food manufacturers face growing pressure to operate with less — less energy, less water, less waste,” said Rick Bajema, Director of Processing Innovations at Heat and Control. “Our Cascade Water Recirculation Systems give them practical tools to conserve, treat and reuse water more effectively. Technologies such as our Slice Wash Support Module (SWSM) and Pre-Rinse Support Module (PRSM) significantly reduce water usage without compromising food safety or equipment performance.”
Originally developed for potato chip processing, the technologies are now being applied more broadly, including in French fry production and other raw-material preparation processes. The Slice Wash Support Module (SWSM) removes up to 90 percent of starch from slice washer water, reducing freshwater consumption and limiting debris entering fryers. Meanwhile, the Pre-Rinse Support Module (PRSM) removes larger particles from peeler and washer systems, reducing the amount of external water replacement required.
Thermal Processing From Tek-Dry
The company will also highlight two drying solutions developed by Tek-Dry, a business acquired by Heat and Control.
The technologies include a French Fry Dryer and a Snack Dryer, both designed for high-throughput operations. Tek-Dry French Fry Dryers use a single-pass design intended to provide consistent drying within a compact footprint while supporting high evaporation rates and precise moisture control.
The same approach is used in the Tek-Dry Snack Dryers, which can be applied across a variety of products including croutons, expanded snacks and bread-based items, with flexible heating options to suit different processing requirements.
Technology Showcase At Interpack
Visitors to the company’s booth will also be able to explore an interactive product showcase demonstrating real-world applications of Heat and Control equipment.
The display will feature a range of products typically processed by the company’s customers, allowing manufacturers to examine how different technologies support specific production requirements. The company will also host live demonstrations throughout the show and provide opportunities for processors to discuss tailored solutions with its engineering and technical teams.
Heat and Control will exhibit at Interpack 2026 in Hall 14, Stand 14A56.
