He earned priceless experience at Key Technology, where he succeeded in both engineering and sales, leading to his most recent position as director of sales engineering. He is a priceless asset to the Idaho Steel family because of his broad skills and in-depth knowledge of the industry.
Rick Garrett, a proud graduate of Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, has a bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering, which has profoundly influenced his exceptional career accomplishments.
“Rick, accompanied by his beloved wife, Sue, is delighted to relocate to the Idaho Falls area from Washington State. Their decision to make this move is driven by a desire to be closer to family, as they have three children and four grandchildren, with another grandchild on the way. Family means the world to Rick, and he cherishes spending quality time with family,” according to a recent press release.
Garrett’s choice to work at Idaho Steel was inspired by the organization’s consistent commitment to customer satisfaction and the management’s significant concern for the welfare of its employees and their families. Rick Garrett intends to use his vast knowledge and leadership talents to help Idaho Steel become the unchallenged leader as the best option for potato processing equipment by enhancing the capabilities of the sales team.
Jon Christensen, the departing Director, will join the Board and continue to play a significant role in the business throughout the following 12 to 18 months. His wealth of experience and perceptions will be crucial in determining the strategic course of the business and assisting Rick in his new position.
“We are confident that this collaborative effort between Rick and Jon will contribute significantly to the growth and success of our organization in the coming months and beyond.
