Mountain King Potatoes Has Been Acquired by EarthFresh Farms
EarthFresh Farms acquired Mountain King Potatoes as of September 25, 2024. EarthFresh Farms President Tom Hughes has made the announcement.
EarthFresh is a North American produce company founded in 1963 and it focuses on potatoes, carrots, and onions. Nine cutting-edge packaging plants for EarthFresh are now operational in Georgia, Texas, Colorado, Ontario, and Prince Edward Island following the completion of this transaction.
“We believe that there are great synergies between our two companies that include exclusive varietal potatoes, innovative packaging and products, expanded organic offerings, customer analytics, and an expanded supply of fresh potatoes. Our combined team will consist of over 400 employees dedicated to servicing our customers,” Tom Hughes, President and CEO, mentioned.
EarthFresh will be able to cover North America within 24 hours of its packaging facilities thanks to the new packing locations. The company will maintain the proven Mountain King brands that include premium products like Steakhouse Russets, Butter Golds, Butter Reds, and Butter Russets.
“We are looking forward to seeing everyone at the Global Floral and Produce Show in October to showcase our products and brands,” Hughes concluded.
