Berlin Potato Evening Marks 20th Edition With Move To New Venue

The German Potato Trade Association (DKHV) will celebrate the 20th edition of the International Berlin Potato Evening on 3 February 2026, marking both the anniversary of the sector’s long-standing networking event and its relocation to a new venue, the TITANIC Chaussee Berlin.
Held on the eve of FRUIT LOGISTICA, the annual gathering has become one of the most significant meeting points for representatives from trade, production, processing, marketing, politics, and research. Over the past two decades, it has developed into a fixture on the international potato calendar, known for bringing together around 500 guests each year in an informal setting conducive to business discussions and market outlooks.
In announcing the 2026 edition, DKHV underscored the dual significance of the event. According to DKHV President Thomas Herkenrath: “Twenty years of the International Berlin Potato Evening is not only a reason to celebrate but also a reflection of the cohesion and dynamism of our sector. With the new location in the heart of Berlin, we are opening another chapter, combining tradition with a spirit of new beginnings. I look forward to joining our members and guests in toasting two decades of successful industry history and moving into the future with fresh ideas.”
This year’s venue shift places the event closer to the capital’s central transport hubs and the exhibition grounds hosting FRUIT LOGISTICA, where global produce executives, suppliers, and buyers converge annually. DKHV expects the change of location to support the continued expansion of the Potato Evening as an exclusive industry forum.
The 2026 edition will open its doors at 6:30 p.m., with the official programme commencing at 7:00 p.m. Registration is available through DKHV, with participation fees set at €185 for members and €240 for non-members (including VAT). Cancellations after 26 January 2026 are subject to a 70% charge.
