Urschel To Present Dicing, Slicing And Drying Systems At Portland Food Manufacturing Show

Urschel will use the Food Northwest Process & Packaging Expo in Portland, Oregon, on April 20-21, 2026, to present a selection of Urschel and KRONEN processing systems aimed at high-capacity food production environments.
At Booth 402, the company plans to feature the Urschel Sprint 2 Dicer alongside the KRONEN GS 10-2 Slicer and the KRONEN KS-100 PLUS Centrifuge/Dryer, positioning the line-up around production efficiency, cut precision and integration into processing operations.
The Sprint 2 Dicer is designed for continuous two- or three-dimensional cutting in uninterrupted production. According to the release, the machine’s slice thickness, crosscut and circular knife spindles can be adjusted to produce a range of dices, crumbles or strips. Urschel said the cutting configuration creates a compact cutting zone intended to maintain precision as product moves through the machine.
Also on display, the belt-fed KRONEN GS 10-2 Slicer is presented as a multifunctional system for slicing, dicing, shredding, grating and segmenting across different product categories. The machine uses a 125 mm built-in flat conveyor to feed product toward the rotating knife, while cut thickness can be adjusted via the keypad without changing the knife. The release also highlights interchangeable cutting discs, a stainless-steel sanitary design, separation between food and mechanical zones, sloped surfaces and hinged panels for washdown access, and a compact footprint.
The third featured system, the KRONEN KS-100 PLUS Centrifuge/Dryer, is being promoted for drying a wide range of food products at high capacity. Urschel said the unit combines an ergonomic design, a counter-rotating centrifuge cycle and 99 program memory positions. The company added that the machine can be used either as a standalone unit or integrated into a processing line downstream of washing, where washed products are filled into spin baskets for drying. Basket mesh inserts are available for products containing fine particles.
The company is using the Portland event to underline the complementary positioning of Urschel and KRONEN equipment in food processing lines, with a focus on throughput, operational continuity and handling flexibility across multiple applications.
The Food Northwest Process & Packaging Expo is described in the release as the largest regional food manufacturing trade show in the United States, bringing together industry professionals for equipment sourcing, educational sessions and networking.
