Ishida Brings ACP-700 Case Packer to Middle East Debut

Ishida will present its ACP-700 Series Case Packer for the first time in the Middle East at Gulfood Manufacturing 2025, positioning the technology as a solution to labour shortages and end-of-line challenges in the region’s expanding snack sector.
The company, a global supplier of weighing, inspection and packing systems, will feature the ACP-700 as part of a fully operational snack food packing line at Stand C3-4 in Hall 3 of the Dubai World Trade Centre, from 4–6 November.
The ACP-700 is designed to automate one of the most labour-intensive areas of snack production. According to Ishida, the machine can handle up to 20 cases and 150 bags per minute, combining bag infeed, alignment, sorting, packing and case closing in a single compact unit. Automated product changeovers in less than three minutes allow producers to switch between formats with minimal disruption, while its touchscreen interface enables operators to select from up to 500 preset configurations.
“Case packing in the Middle East presents unique challenges,” said Jim McGregor, product specialist at Ishida Europe. “Traditionally a manual task, it’s now impacted by widespread labour shortages and the risk of human error — especially in accurate pack counting over long shifts. With manufacturing investment on the rise, it’s essential for food producers to adapt to automation strategies that deliver speed, consistency, and retail-ready quality.”
McGregor added that the ACP-700 is built to respond to shifting demand and evolving pack formats. “In today’s fast-moving market, our end-of-line technology helps reduce disruption and boost operational confidence.”
The system is aimed at improving pack presentation and shelf replenishment efficiency by producing tightly packed, easy-to-open cases tailored for retail.
Alongside the case packer, Ishida will also display its CCW-AS multihead weigher, Inspira RD33 rotary bagmaker with compact auto splice, and TSC-AS inline seal tester, integrated with Sentinel 5.0 production monitoring software. Its latest X-ray inspection units (IX-PD and IX-EN) and the DACS-GN checkweigher will also be demonstrated.
“The Middle East is fast becoming one of the world’s most important regions for snack production, making it a key market for Ishida,” McGregor said. “We’ve built a strong, region-specific support network with a growing team of engineers based in Dubai, Jordan, Egypt, and Turkey — ensuring fast, expert service when it’s needed most.”
He noted that Ishida’s continued investment in infrastructure, combined with its showcase at Gulfood Manufacturing, reflects the company’s commitment to the region.
