Potatoes in Practice Welcomes Visitors on August 8

Potatoes in Practice is the largest field-based potato event in the UK, which is coming right up on August 8. Organized by the James Hutton Institute at the Balruddery Farm it brings together a variety of demonstrations, research and trade exhibits.
In the fields attendees will find commercial breeders showcasing their latest varieties, as well as agronomists demonstrating what’s new in terms of crop protection and researchers discussing their most recent findings.
Alternatively, indoors visitors will have the opportunity to find a range of exhibitors from agricultural advisors to scientific researchers to processors and technology companies. What’s more, the organizers are also planning a series of seminars which will be open to all attendees including Potato Markets: The Ins and Outs and Potato Health, that will complement the research demonstrations. A Pulverization workshop will also be part of the schedule.
The event is also backed up by Scotland’s Rural College (SRUC) and AHDB Potatoes.
