Mister Bees Debuts New Packaging Design to Support Veterans
Potato chips brand Mister Bee unveiled a special new five-ounce potato chip bag saluting Veterans in order to commemorate National Veterans’ Month. 10% of the purchase price of the “Salute Our Veterans” bags will be donated to the United Service Organizations (USO) to assist Veterans and their families.
“Veterans should be honored every day and not just one in November each year. We are proud to announce this campaign to show our deep respect and appreciation for the women and men who have served the country,” said Anne Ketelsen, chief executive officer of Mister Bee Potato Chips.
Ketelsen said the West Virginia company will produce 250,000 bags with the “Salute Our Veterans” design, which could potentially generate as much as USD50,000 for the USO.
For the past two years, the company has invested more than USD2m in upgrading and computerizing the West Virginia Avenue plant and is in the process of building a new warehouse at the site to improve its supply chain to vendors and customers.
The company has secured kosher certification and recently earned the Eurofins good manufacturing practices recognition. Eurofins is a Luxembourg-based company that provides testing and support services to the food, as well as agri-science and environmental industries.
